In today’s digital world, keeping our devices safe is critically important. Cyber threats are getting smarter, so we need to step up our game wherever we can.

There are things we do as your IT provider to protect your endpoints, for instance, installing patches for software vulnerabilities. In 2024, 96% of vulnerabilities leveraged in attacks were disclosed the year before, which goes to show the importance of updates and patches. But software patches are not enough. There are advanced tools that give greater protection to your devices.

What’s EDR?

Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) is a tool that keeps an eye on your devices (like phones, laptops, and IoT gadgets) to spot and stop threats. It helps catch the bad before it spreads. For our clients, we recommend Sentinel1 as their EDR platform.

When you decide to use an EDR like Sentinel1, some of the features you’ll get are 24/7 monitoring and increased visibility. It is watching your devices at all times and looking for threats and it gives us a clear view of what’s happening on your devices. Also, importantly, this is a proactive approach because in security, prevention is always better than remediation.
