“Shakeema knows her craft. She was driven and determined to get my printer up and
running, every bit of the word professional.”

Shakeema Blocker, IT Service Technician

Shakeema started working at i2m a year ago. She started as an intern, moving to part-time at the end of her internship. As a part-time hire Shakeema quickly became indispensable to our team and now works full-time on the Help Desk and as our field technician, going to different sites to provide hands-on support. Before landing at i2m, Shakeema dipped her toe into many different jobs, including as a caretaker for the father of one of her high school teachers and as a dealer for an online casino.

Shakeema grew up in Philly the oldest of 6 kids. She credits her mom for inspiring her to get into the technology field. Her mom was a jack of all trades and a wiz with computers. She never got to pursue the field (she was busy being a single mom to 6 kids!) but Shakeema always noticed her passion for it as well as the mastery and flexibility she had to adapt to any situation.

Shakeema graduated from UArts with a degree in Game Art and Design. She continues to pursue creative passions in the form of drawing, reading and writing poetry. She loves experimenting with new crafts and is always open to try new hobbies.

Something that may surprise folks to learn about Shakeema is that she loves horror movies. The Thing by John Carpenter is her all-time favorite movie. Anything mutant or alien based piques her interest.

Looking towards the future, Shakeema is working on her AZ900 and Comptia A+ certifications. She is looking forward to gaining more knowledge and strengthening her skills to work with our diverse clients.

We at i2m are glad to have Shakeema on board!
